Sayl Chair by Herman Miller

The Herman Miller Sayl Chair is perfect for the modern home office.

The Sayl Chair is a chair that wears its reputation as sculptural art on its sleeve, looking very much like the suspension bridges that inspired its design.

Can the lumbar support be added later?

Technically yes, it can be added later, but Herman Miller recommends a certified technician install it. We do not currently sell the Sayl lumbar support.

What is the Y-Tower?

The chair’s distinctive structure provides the connection points for the suspension back. It is the foundation of the chair’s distinctive arc, which mirrors the curvature of the spine. All Sayl chairs have the Y-Tower back.

How long does it take to ship?

If we have it in stock, it can ship out same-day or the next day. If we don't have it in stock, it will take approximately 1 month to ship.

What is the 3D Intelligent Suspension?

Sayl’s unframed back uses elastomer strands that vary in thickness and tension to target support along the spine while encouraging a full range of seated movement.

Who is best suited for this chair?

The Sayl is small like the Series 1. It is great for users under 200 pounds and smaller folks.

Is there an upholstered version?

Yes! You can check out the upholstered version of the Sayl Chair here
